2023 Run Rocklin scheduled for April 16

ROCKLIN, Calif. — Run Rocklin, a grassroots community event that raises money for local foundation, schools and nonprofit organizations, will be held Sunday morning, April 16, 2023 at Whitney Sunset Recreation Area

Run Rocklin has benefited the Matt Redding Foundation for 16 years and has also provided funds to law enforcement-related organizations, district schools, and other nonprofits.

Run Rocklin has raised over $160,000 in memory of Matt Redding, the famous Rocklin police officer who tragically died on the job in October 2005. He was hit and killed by a car driven by a drunk driver.

the Matt Redding Foundation Supports education in preventive services and provides financial support each year to graduating seniors at five local high schools, as well as scholarships for Sierra College And William Jessup University.

The Family Friendly Run has also become a great event for local schools and non-profit organizations to raise money for their programs.

Adults (19-64) are $40 for the 5k, $55 for the 12k, and $65 for the half marathon. Kids under 18 pay $30 for the 5k, $35 for the 12k, and $55 for the half marathon.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for the 5km, 12km and half marathon races.

Prize money will be awarded to the top three school teams. Medals will be awarded to all winners of the half marathon, 12 and 5K. Participants in the children’s run will receive a ribbon. All paid Run Rocklin participants receive a performance t-shirt.
