$300K Cadillac Celesitq electric ultra-luxury car revealed as brand’s most expensive model ever
Cadillac is looking to reclaim its world record title in a shocking way.
The automaker has revealed a production version of its upcoming Celestiq ultra-luxury electric car with a starting price of $300,000.
The price is more than double that of the current top model from Cadillac, which is $149,990 Escalade-V SUV.
The full-size Celestiq features an unusual four-door backyard design and will be handcrafted to each customer’s exact specifications.

No two will be alike, and Cadillac only expects to complete about two each week after starting production just before Christmas 2023.
A mix of materials, including carbon fiber and aluminum, are used in its construction and, along with 115 3D-printed parts, the steering wheel is the largest among them.

The Celestiq features a four-door passenger and a Fastback-style hatchback.

The Celestiq uses the Ultium electric vehicle platform that debuted with the GMC Hummer EV and Cadillac Lyriq SUV.
It features a 111 kWh battery pack, all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and suspension with air springs, computer-controlled shocks and an anti-roll system to give it the smoothest ride possible.

The glass roof can be individually darkened over each seat.

“The innovations that Celstik uses to deliver its advanced driving isolation is the pinnacle of Cadillac Automotive’s achievement,” said Ken Altus, Celeste’s chief development engineer.
The Celestiq is powered by two 600-horsepower engines and will be able to accelerate to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, according to Cadillac.

The Celestiq has a driving range of 300 miles per charge.

It has an estimated driving range of 300 miles between charges, and can be refilled with 78 miles of electricity in 10 minutes at a general DC fast charging station.
Celestiq will be equipped with under development Ultra Cruise semi-autonomous driving systemwhich Cadillac says will eventually be able to handle 95% of most driving situations without driver intervention.

The interior features four seats and a 55-inch digital screen that covers the entire dashboard to provide infotainment functions.

Two additional touch screens on the center console provide controls for front and rear passengers, the latter of which is also provided with their own screen ahead of them on the backs of the front seats.

All seats are climate-controlled and have “neck scarves” that blow air over the passenger’s shoulders, as well as warm armrests. Above it is a full smart glass roof that uses embedded particles to allow each individual quarter to be darkened.
The AKG Studio reference sound system has 38 speakers in the cabin that double as noise-cancelling devices, while three tweeters on the exterior of the vehicle emit “structured thrust sounds” to augment the silent electric motors.
Cadillac did not announce No intention to offer a lower-priced version of the Celestiq, but it plans to have an all-electric lineup by 2030.
