Colorado teen arrested in connection with 14-year-old’s death
Denver Police He was arrested Friday night in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy who was found in the city’s Marston neighborhood in August.
Authorities revealed the suspect in custody is a 17-year-old boy from Colorado during a news conference Saturday night.
The identity of the suspect will not be revealed because he is a minor. According to KDVR.
Denver Police Department officers say the victim in the case, 14-year-old Josiez “Jojo” Aragon, attended school with the suspect last year. Over the summer, the two were reported to have been discussing the sale of a firearm.
The two were in the middle of that deal on August 8 when the suspect allegedly Assault, robbery, and murder Aragon.
No decision has been made whether to charge the teen as an adult or a minor. Police say they are looking into whether others were involved in the crime, but so far there is no evidence to support this theory.
An autopsy conducted by the Denver Medical Examiner’s office revealed that Aragon died of “multiple blunt and blunt wounds. with a gunshot wound, KDVR reported.
