number 7 Kentucky @ Number 14 Ole Miss (12 p.m. ET Saturday, ESPN)

SEC East meets SEC West. Which of the top 25 teams will pass the test?

Jump straight into this week’s predictions with bars, so why not.

Seriously, though, this is going to be a tough showdown between 4-0 teams that will fall apart.

last week against Northern Illinois, Kentucky Huskies held a distance of 199 yards. With that game, the Wildcats kept their first four opponents below 200 yards for the first time since 1989. Given that head coach Mark Stubbs was a defensive back during his college playing career, the UK certainly has a strong D under him.

But Ole Miss would like to have a say.

The Rebels are one of the four FBS teams averaging 40 or more points per game while conceding 10 points or less. The Ole Miss ranks fourth in the country in dash yards per game, averaging 280.8 yards per competition.

But we will use the good old eye test for this test. And what we see is that Kentucky has the best win of the season among these teams. In the second week, the kittens fell off Florida 16-16. Best win for the rebels? If we had to pick one, we’d say it was their 28-10 win Troy at the opening of their season.

Cats get that win.

prediction:
Kentucky 7-9 points

No. 4 Michigan @ Yes (12 p.m. ET on Saturday, Fox)

Overtake the undefeated Wolverines melee Maryland team last week. This match against Iowa will be another tough challenge.

The 3-1 Hawkeyes are fourth in red zone defense and sixth in the country in overall defense. In the last two games, the Hawkeyes haven’t made any turnovers. To say Iowa keeps a hawk’s eye on the ball is an understatement.

Michigan enters this game with one of the best college football players, Blake Corum. 7.47 yards per carry ranked third in FBS. As a team, Michigan is tied for third in the nation with 22 lunges for at least 15 yards. Michigan’s ground offensive has clearly been an important part of their perfect season thus far.

Another thing to note. Michigan leads this streak all-time 43-15-4. They previously faced each other in a Big Ten Championship match last year. Big Blue won easily, 42-3.

After this weekend, Wolverines will have two W’s in a row over the Hawkeyes.

prediction:
Michigan 10 to 13 points

Number 2 Alabama @ No. 20 Arkansas (3:30 p.m. ET Saturday, CBS)

You know how Alabama would legitimately look like a Goliath against every opponent? And then there’s one game – maybe two – that shows tides for mere mortals are they?

Well, this Arkansas game is one of those.

Razorbacks come off a tight 23-21 loss to Texas A&MThere are, however, some bright spots for coach Sam Pittman & Co. when they host Bama. The Razorbacks have intercepted 28 passes since the start of the 2020 season, the second most in the SEC. And they lead the nation in sacks with a score of 20. That’s four more than the next closest team.

But no matter how close we are that Arkansas can keep this contest, Bama is still Bama.

Since 2018, Tide has scored 40 or more points in 71.7% of their games. Bama’s D has forced a 3-out in 23 of 29 drives this season. And when they have the ball, the tides have collected 400 or more attacking yards in 54 of their last 60 games.

And Bama owns this series from 22 to 8.

Will this be soon? yes. But will Alabama return to Tuscaloosa with a win? Also, yes.

prediction:
Alabama 4-6 points

Michigan State @ Maryland (3:30 p.m. ET Saturday, FS1)

Michigan State suffered as many losses in two games this year as it did last season. Sparty is going through a few things, and we expect Maryland to take full advantage this weekend.

At FOX Bet, the Terrapins 8 favorite points. a Late, falling garbage time and diversion of two points Help Maryland cover Spread 17 pips Last week against Michigan – and commissioned a contender in Super 6. But the Terps still didn’t get the outright win. This weekend will be different. Look for Maryland to win and cover.

Maryland has won six consecutive games against unranked teams. Fate, meet kettle. But the law still stands. Terps also scored 15 out of 16 drives for the red zone. We cannot overstate how difficult this is to achieve.

Yes, the Spartans lead this series 10-2, but Michigan State today looks a little different than yesterday. Today, Michigan allows opponents to turn their third down 43.3% of the time. This will be the retreat for the Spartans this weekend.

Maryland wins big.

prediction:
Maryland 10 to 13 points

number 9 Oklahoma @ No. 16 Baylor (3:30 p.m. ET Saturday, Fox)

“They didn’t play anyone!” Here we are ranting in the void about these two teams. Well, I played Baylor BYU He lost 26-20. But by looking at the matches of these teams, I see teams like Albanian And the Arkansas Pine Bluff!

She gives a cupcake.

But this week the real State and Baylor slate of games begins.

Oklahoma State is 11-7 against the spread (ATS) and 10-8 respectively (SU) against Baylor under coach Mike Gundy. In their last seven matches against AP-ranked opponents, the Cowboys have gone 6-1 SU.

On the other hand, Baylor is 3-5 years old when he faces the top 10 opponents since 2018. But these other stats make us curiously eye the bears.

When they’re the favorites at home, like this weekend, the Bears are up 10-0 against Big 12 opponents since 2017. Over the course of 18 straight games, these Bears have managed to keep their opponents under 30 points.

We’ve never seen a bear in the wild fall by a cowboy, and we won’t see it this weekend either.

prediction:
Baylor 7-9 points

number 10 North Carolina @ no 5 Clemson (7:30 p.m. ET Saturday, ABC)

Save the best for the end. This game will definitely be the type of game that gets you to the edge of your seat.

Clemson already has a 59-29-1 streak, but Wolfpack beat the Tigers last year, 27-21. And we’re choosing them to beat the turmoil again this year.

Let’s take a look at the package. NC State leads the ACC allowing an average of only 11.8 points per game for opponents. The 261.5 yards in the game they gave up is the second best space in the conference. They allow a low conversion rate of 25% which is tied for 7th place in FBS.

Clemson enters this match with a little extra confidence as she thrives on the night games atmosphere. Since 2015, the Tigers have gone 43-7 in the night games. They also have the longest winning streak at home in the country at 36. Under coach Dabo Sweeney, Clemson is 84-3 as a home favorite.

But we can’t face the Clemson match Wake Forest out of our minds. It took the Tigers two more spells to defeat the Deacons last week, a squad that we might argue isn’t as talented from top to bottom as NC State.

So, tiger believers, do not look now. We are going Wolfpack.

prediction:
North Carolina by 1 to 3
