Fundraising program supports women’s education

Rally your co-workers and organize your girlfriends in Ultimate Girl’s Night Out

Loomis, CA – Sisters of Charity (SI) International at Loomis Basin will host its popular It’s in the Bag Designed fundraiser on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 6-8:30pm (doors open at 5pm) at Blue Goose Event Center, 3550 Taylor Road, Loomis. Ultimate Girl’s Night Out supports educational projects that lead to the economic empowerment of women and girls.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased from Soroptimist members or at Hebard Insurance Solutions located at 3837 Taylor Road, Loomis using cash, check, or Venmo. Tickets include dinner, water bottles, board games, and door prizes. Alcoholic drinks sold separately. At the event, attendees can purchase tickets to participate in sketches for designer portfolios. Companies can invest in Dreams as portfolio event sponsors, event coordinator Chris Hibbard Summers, Hibbard Insurance Solutions, explained. “Platinum level sponsors of $1,500 receive a promotional offer and a table for eight with glasses of wine and souvenirs,” said Hibbard Summers. “There is also a sponsorship of $1,000 for gold and $500 for tableware and a Swag Bag.” Contact Hebard-Summers at 916-652-0404 to sponsor It’s in the Bag and support education programs.

It’s in the bag funding Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards for single moms going to college, Investment in Dreams Awards for girls at Del Oro High School for showing community leadership and grants for Loomis Union School District K-8 teachers. The club organizes the Dream It, Be It career exploration program with girls at Soroptimist School Koinonia Group Homes. The Soroptimist Club founded the Loomis Senior LIFE Center and funds teachers for the program. Sisters of Charity International helps women overcome obstacles and reach their full potential through education and dreaming big.
