Murder charge in Placer County for fentanyl death
Criminal complaint involving the murder of a fentanyl dealer in Fair Oaks
Roseville, California – Placer County District Attorney’s Office He amended the criminal case against 24-year-old Aaron Dare to add the murder charge, as it relates to a local death in the Auburn Ventanelle area.
Specifically, on August 31, 2022, the defendant allegedly sold illicit fentanyl to the victim resulting in his death.

This arrest was made following an investigation by the Placer County Special Investigations Unit, a collaborative effort by the Placer County Police Office, Department of Justice, Roseville Police DepartmentAuburn Police Department, Placer County Investigations and Placer County Probation.
1 million dollar bail
The defendant appeared in Placer County Superior Court this morning and was joined by a private attorney. He entered the dare to plead not guilty and was scheduled for an early settlement conference on November 30. The defendant is currently being held in Placer County Jail on $1 million bail.
