Rocklin Historical and Cultural Celebration May 6th at Johnson-Springview Park

ROCKLIN, CA — The community is invited to celebrate what makes the City of Rocklin an amazing place to live, work, and play with a historic and cultural celebration of Rocklin’s 130th Anniversary held Saturday, May 6 at Johnson Springview Park.
The City of Rocklin has partnered with Rocklin Historical Society and Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) theme parks to bring in a fun-filled evening for the whole family, which includes numerous shows, vendors, and fireworks.
Johnson Springview Park
The historical and cultural celebration of the 130th anniversary will begin at 4:00 PM at Johnson-Springview Park. Cultural Performances by Sacramento Taiko Dancers, Sacramento Area Nordic Dancers, WSCA Multicultural Club Dancers, Koto Performance, Halo Hula Bono Dancers, USA Swayamsevak Sangh Hindu Dancers, Placer Om Dance Group, Japanese Dancers, Celtic Friends Performance, Pakistan Cultural Festival Dancers, Unity Lewis will start after the event kicks off.
Entertainment and vendors
In addition to the strong cultural performance programming, the event will also feature live history performers, train and history shows, and performances from Placer Repertory Theatre. Food trucks and vendors for delicious meals and stalls for local businesses and crafts will be available.
Departments within City Hall will display vehicles from the police and fire departments, equipment from the General Services Administration, and more at various civic display booths. Following comments from Rocklin City Dignitaries, the Road Crew Band will perform around 7:30 p.m. with a fireworks display that concludes the event at sunset.
