Roseville Child Backpack Program gets an assist from Tommy Apostolos Fund


Underprivileged school children benefit from the Roseville City School District’s Backpack Program

ROSEVILLE, CA – When kids are in need of help, the local nonprofit Tommy Apostolos Fund (TAF) steps in to help. newly, Roseville City School District I contacted TAF for funding to support the Children’s Backpack Program. The TAF Board of Directors made a unanimous decision to approve the release and donation of backpacks filled with school essentials such as pencils, notebooks and more to local elementary and middle schools.

“Our passion is helping local children get the materials they need to succeed,” said Haley Romero, executive director of the Tommy Apostolos Trust. “In addition to having a bag to carry their stuff, we hope the backpacks will help kids feel ready and motivated to go to school.”

The Tommy Apostolos Trust is a nonprofit organization committed to providing clothing, school supplies, and other necessities to children in Roseville. The organization is prominently recognized throughout the Placer County community for hosting fundraising events, school supply drives, and the annual Children’s Shopping Day, where nearly 500 unserved Roseville children are given the opportunity to shop for new, warm clothes and essential winter gear—all expenses paid.
