Roseville City School District committed to providing quality professional development

Professional development makes the difference!

Roseville, CA – I have always loved watching our school district operate similar to a small city within a city. Each of us – staff, administrators, students, teachers, volunteers, and families – plays an important role in our neighborhood. Like gears in a clock, we all do better when we work together and are given the tools to do the job. So it’s important to me that everyone receives the support and resources they deserve so they can do this and feel their best.

For our staff and teachers, Roseville City School Districti RCSD is committed to providing quality professional development (PD) to take care of those needs. This ensures that our teachers are well prepared to meet the educational needs of all students in our area. PD is presented in different ways throughout the year. You’re probably familiar with the four days for non-students that allow us to gather for PD, but did you know that we also have Grade Level and Departmental Course days? We also make it a priority to provide learning opportunities after school.

PDAC

Our PD is largely driven by Professional Development Advisory Committee (PDAC), a team of educators and administrators, who help recommend areas of focus in our Professional Development Plan. This allows us to continue to support the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs of all RCSD students. Thank you for your invaluable insights and recommendations, PDAC!

unique student needs

As of this academic year, RCSD is a city within a city of 11,560 students—and it continues to run. That is 11,560 different combinations of needs, skills, challenges and opportunities. This is why we double the investment in our employees. They are unique, loyal, skilled and dedicated to serving our students with true empathy and care. At RCSD, your students are in good hands and we enjoy this honor. Thank you, families and students, for being a part of a city within a city that puts children at the center of everything.
