Roseville City School District Superintendent Article: December 2022
Pleased to end the year on a high note
December really is one of the favorite times of the year on campus – the excited kids, the staff looking festive and the general atmosphere of joy as we countdown to a fun winter break and holiday season.
As I reflect on the year in work and life, what comes to mind is the importance of being surrounded by family, especially at this time of year. This of course includes the family we receive, but it also means the family we choose: our friends and our communities. It’s a gift to experience the sense of family we’ve built all along RCSD And on every campus, and I hope you all feel that way too.
I can’t help but marvel at how far we’ve come this year as a school family. Students have worked hard and thrived in their classes. Our district faculty and staff have continued to prioritize children, building a sustainable model of social and emotional support for students alongside academics. We have even had the opportunity to hire more genuine and characterful staff to support our students’ experience in and out of the classroom.
I am pleased to end 2022 on a high note. Whatever your family celebrates this time of year, know that we wish you all the best.
From my family to yours, happy holidays!
