The British Ministry of Defense said earlier this summer that Russian Air Force ‘performed poorly’ during the invasion of Ukraine.
“While Russia has an impressive roster of modern and relatively capable combat aircraft, the air force has almost certainly failed to develop the institutional culture and skill sets required for its personnel to meet Russia’s aspirations to deliver a more modern Western-style air campaign,” the British Ministry of Defense said in June.
