San Jose State running back Camdan McWright hit and killed on scooter
Camden McCrite, player in Football in San Jose State The team died after being hit by a school bus while riding an electric scooter, authorities confirmed Friday.

McCrite, 18, was a native of Sylmar, California.
The bus hit the new student while he was running back two blocks away San Jose State Campus.
According to the CHP, at least 14 students were on the plane at the time of the accident, which was reported just before 7 a.m.
Authorities confirmed that the bus entered the intersection while the traffic light was green.

“The 18-year-old pedestrian who was riding an electric scooter was traveling south on 10th Street and entered the intersection at the pedestrian crossing and was crossing to the opposite sidewalk,” CHP officer Mike Lee said. “He was in the crosswalk when the bus hit him. Authorities said McCrite was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and the scooter was rented.

Temporary School Principal Steve Perez also offered his condolences, saying, “The loss of our student is heartbreaking and devastating to the San Jose State community. We mourn Camden, his family, friends, teammates, and the Spartan family.”
McWright has had three campaigns this season for the Spartans.
