September 2022 Planetary Retrogrades: Astrology Meaning, Effects
Hold on there, kids – I know life is hectic now, but it won’t last forever! All because there is no one, one two, but six Backtracking is happening now.
Every astrology enthusiast’s least favorite time is when the dips start to pile up like a Pringles tube. One back isn’t so bad, and in fact, Retreat can be charming. We all need to take the time to slowly trade and assess what is happening in the world relative to where we stand. back It is a time in astrology when the planets appear to be moving backwards in their orbit from our point of view here on Earth – an optical illusion. In my astrology practice, it is the retreat into re-evaluation, revision, reflection, and renewal of retrograde planet themes. (Yes, every planet has a different theme!)
BTW, the sun and moon never appear as though they are moving backwards, because they are bright stars and not planets. Which is very lucky for us! Astrologically, this translates as a reminder that we are always moving forward with our goal and our passions. The sun represents the center of ourselves, the ego, and the moon symbolizes our emotions.
So, about those dips! There are currently six retrograde planets: Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Instead of acting as focal devices for invoking the central functions of the ego and emotions, such as Sun And the the moonPlanets are tools to aid in our study of how our souls work. Mercury represents how we think, Jupiter is how we obtain knowledge, and Saturn is how we act. These planets are considered inner planets because they are closer to the sun and represent parts of our personality. The outer planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto represent the generations we were born into. Think of their retreats as a call to action to check out your communities and reassess how you appear to the general public (aka people who don’t fall into your inner circle).
Here’s a quick breakdown of how to get the most out of this down season. Oh, and Mars Retrograde is just around the corner, so this guide includes alerts about that, too.
