Texas man killed after pointing gun at Fort Worth officer, police say

A Texan man who aimed a gun at a police officer was shot and killed Sunday night after he threatened to harm his mother and immunize himself. Inside a house in Fort Worth, authorities said.

The accident occurred around 11 pm in the 4000 block of Wiman Road, FOX4 Dallas Fort Worth Reported citing police.

The outlet reported that a woman called 911 and reported that her adult son destroyed her home with a hammer. The dispatcher overheard a man saying he would hurt his mother if the police arrived.

Authorities said that when officers arrived at the house, they reported seeing the man come to the door with a gun. He allegedly went inside and refused to leave.

SWAT negotiators and hostages He worked to convince the man to surrender and release his mother, who was later able to leave the house, according to the report.

But police said the man stood at the door of the house and pointed his gun at an officer. The officer shot, beat, and killed the man.

It was not clear if the man fired the shots. There were no officers I mentioned the injured.

Police did not immediately release additional details about the shooting.
