Tom Brady apologizes for comparing playing in the NFL to military deployment: ‘A very poor choice of words’
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback Tom Brady on Thursday apologized for comments he made earlier in the week in which he likened playing in the NFL to “going away from a deployment in the military.”
During his weekly press conference with reporters, Brady opened up before answering questions by responding to comments he made on Monday’s episode of “Let’s Go!” Audio notation.
“Before we begin, can I say one thing? Earlier this week, I made a statement about playing football and Army And it was a very poor choice of words. And I just want to express that for any feelings on the outside that people may have taken in a certain way. I apologize.”

Brady refused To clarify when a reporter asked him what he meant when comparing the two.
“Honestly, I don’t want to expand on that too much,” he said. “I have a tremendous amount of gratitude to everyone who served. In the end, we play a game, and the military defends our country. They are two different things and I shouldn’t compare.”
