Two American tourists were attacked by a crocodile at a resort in Mexico
MEXICO CITY – Two American tourists were injured by a crocodile in the Mexico resort of Puerto Vallarta when one went swimming in the ocean at night and the other went into the water to help him.
The civil defense office in the western state of Jalisco said, on Wednesday, that the first American was bitten in his legs, arm, stomach and chest. The second, who went to the water to help, had a wound on his hand.
The office said the two men received first aid at the scene. It said the two men were from Colorado, but did not specify the hometowns of either of them.
Crocodiles are not a rare sight in the coastal wetlands and beaches of the Pacific Coast resort of Puerto Vallarta.
