A 30-year-old patient (in Phu Tho) entered the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on December 21, 2022, in a state of panic and anxiety.

At 10 am on December 21, 2022, the patient went to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases for examination, and was diagnosed and tested positive for rabies virus. The patient was transferred to the emergency department.

By 6:15 pm the same day, the patient felt panic and agitation and the patient’s fear of water and wind gradually increased. When the doctor explained the condition of death, the family asked the patient to go home.
