Vietnam reports 367,729 dengue cases in 2022

The General Administration of Preventive Medicine of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health reported 367,729 cases of dengue fever and 140 deaths (CFR 0.04%) cumulatively in Vietnam in 2022.

Compared to the same period in 2021 (72,88 cases and 27 deaths, CFR 0.04%), the cumulative number of cases was five times higher.

According to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), only Brazil reported more cases last year.

Globally, there have been more than 4 million reported cases of dengue fever and 4,000 deaths – the majority of cases reported from Brazil (2,363,490), Vietnam (367,729), the Philippines (226,497) and Indonesia (125,000). 888) and India (110,473).
